Entrance Exam

Once the applicant submits the application documents , he/she will receive the Entrance Exam materials via email.

  • Entrance exam consists of 2 steps. In the 1st step you will write a study on a given topic. The 2nd step is a personal interview or on-line interview via web cam in case the applicant is not present in Prague.

1st step: Study on a given topic

  1. You will be asked to write a study on a given topic from finance, accounting and economics. Topics for entrance exams are available here: TOPICS_Entrance Exam.
  2. Timing: 2nd - 16th May, 2018. On May 2nd you receive to your e-mail address the assignment of the study and detailed instructions. You will be expected to return the study by the latest on 16th May’s midnight, by e-mail to the official email address of MIFA:

2nd step: Entrance Exam – personal interview or on-line interview via web cam

  1. In order to save travel and other expenses, applicants can do their entrance exam via web cam.
  2. You will be invited for the second step via email after you submit your answers from the 1st step.
  3. Personal interview and on-line interview timing: 21st - 23rd May 2018. Successful applicants receive an invitation via email.
  4. On-line or personal interview in English will be focused on the study submitted by the applicants.

 Results of the entrance exam will be available 1stJune 2018.


The Process of Acceptance

1. The applicant will be notified regarding the decision via email and our application platform. The decision is made by the official examination committee by awarding the applicant points from the written and oral part of the entrance exam. Maximum points to collect is 100 and minimum to be accepted to MIFA is 60. The applicant is informed about the points awarded. The committee has the full right to make the decision with awarding the points and is not obliged to explain the applicant reasons for the awarded points.

(If you are on your last year of the Bachelor's programme and get admitted to MIFA master programme at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, you will receive a conditional admission. You have to graduate in your Bachelors degree by the start of MSc programme at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting.)

2. Students applying for student Visa will be further contacted by the programme coordinator and will receive all the necessary documents needed for the application process.

4. Admitted students will be further informed about the next steps by the programme coordinator individually, especially in regards of housing, Buddy System, Orientation week ... etc.

3. Admitted students will be registered for the first semester during the Orientation week after the Matriculation ceremony.


The University of Economics in Prague reserves the right not to register the accepted student to study MIFA in case the student does not meet the required steps the student is informed about.
