Teaching regime in the summer semester of the academic year 2020/21

Based on the current epidemiological situation and with regard to the fact that its significant improvement cannot be expected until the beginning of the summer semester, the Rector of VŠE decided in agreement with the Deans of faculties that teaching in bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programmes in the summer semester will begin in a distance form. A possible return to full-time teaching would occur during the semester if the epidemiological situation and its expected development improves enough to allow full-time teaching without significant restrictions until the end of the semester (it would require transition to and keeping in the first or the second level within the current anti-epidemic system PES).

Teaching of physical education courses will also take place in a distance form. Teachers of these courses will contact via MS teams with the enrolled students for the first lesson of the semester of the week from February 15, 2021.

Graduation ceremonies

Due to the development of the epidemiological situation and with regard to the limitation of the possibility of holding mass events, the ceremonial graduation of bachelor’s and master’s degree graduates planned for February and March 2021 is cancelled.

Obligation of employees and students to submit a negative result of the RT-PCR test

Employees and students who entered the Czech Republic from high-risk countries (see the list of the Ministry of Health), where they stayed for more than 12 hours in the last 14 days or are nationals of these high-risk countries, must undergo an RT-PCR test for the presence of SARS CoV-2 and are subject to restrictions on free movement in the Czech Republic.
VŠE employees (including visiting professors) are obliged to submit the test result to their superior, students will send a scanned document to their study assistant (coordinator of the foreign language study programme) by e-mail. Until a negative test result is submitted, such an employee or student may not enter the University premises. It is necessary to follow the valid measures HERE.
