Financial Times: VŠE is the 55th best European Business School

Today the Financial Times published the results of the European Business Schools Rankings 2019. The first three places took the French HEC Paris, the British London Business School and the Italian SDA Bocconi. The University of Economics, Prague ranked 55th within the 95 best European business schools.

The FT rankings are based on data provided by universities and their graduates. The four main criteria are MBA programs, Executive Education programs, master’s programs in management and the quality of academic staff (share of PhD teachers, number of foreign teachers and women’s representation). The University of Economics, Prague succeeded in two categories. It gained 15th place in the evaluation of master’s programs in management represented by the Faculty of Business Administration and 55th place for the qualification structure of academic staff.

This year’s ranking is dominated by French (26 in total) and British universities (19). From the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, only the Czech Republic (VŠE), Hungary (Corvinus University), Poland (Kozminski University, Warsaw School of Economics), Russia (St. Petersburg University) and Slovenia (University of Ljubljana) are represented.
